Simply Oarsome started out as the brainchild of Martine Elliott. Frustrated by being unable to buy suitable rowing apparel for herself in Australia, and seeing the potential for a local rowing specific clothing manufacturer, she began making rowing suits in 1988. Initially she made them for her Mercantile Rowing Club mates, but it wasn't long before she was supplying clubs and schools throughout Australia, and the National Team.

The business name was registered in 1990 and Simply Oarsome has grown enormously since then, not only in clientele, but also in reputation for quality rowing apparel. Simply Oarsome is proud to have supplied the Australian Rowing Team every year since 1989, and expanded its customer base to more than 20 countries.

Simply Oarsome is based in Geelong, Australia . It's home is the historic Collins Brothers Woollen Mill - a lovely three level red brick building next to the Barwon River, just a short walk from the regatta course.
